Art is LiFe: DTLA
As you enter the gallery, one graffitied lamp illuminated the entrance into the event. All of the pieces seemed energized as you walked through the gallery by either an intense complexion, curious texture or an illuminated glow that seemed to pop from the canvas. Hip hop music added to the energy, as body painted models passed out complimentary drinks. You could hear gatherings discussing art as PULSE and Bubba painted models. People we're also talking about their own creative pursuits, their passions, their projects. If you are familiar with Downtown LA, you know the art scene is expanding.
Saint Project’s first meeting with PULSE…
When we met PULSE, he had paint all over his hands arms and clothes- he even had a clump of light blue paint in his hair that I’m not sure if he was aware of. He explained to us that he had been painting non stop through the previous two nights. Once we entered his studio it became clear to us; art truly is his life. Which is why ‘Art is LiFe’ is the perfect name for the art community we’re curating.
